Best of Summer

Alright guys,

I've been a little selfish and I've only been using blogger to see what all of you are up to...sorry bout that. Let me catch you up on life...I present the best of summer!!!

THIS WEEK

Biked to Old Town Today and hung out with the Golden Harvest girls.
Wanted something more interesting to be happening here with all of the toys strewn about the tables...

"Why aren't you saying your words 'jewelery for sale'? Say it louder," said Ayva Luna Vicknair, 7, to her younger sister Stella Rain Vicknair, 5, while selling jewelery outside of Golden Harvest in Old Town Lansing. "They grew up here so they're oddly comfortable," said mother Vanessa Vicknair. The girls grew up at the restaurant, which their parents have owned for five years, helping to wait tables and cut potatoes . They occupy themselves however they can including creating potato sack dresses to play in.

This is what printed.

4-H Horse Show

And hung out with an awesome blind guy for a multimedia piece on Radio Talking Book. He lost 100% of his vision in his 20's but that doesn't stop him from doing much. He even designed and built the extension to his house.

COLORADO
East Lansing, MI to Denver CO: 1210 miles, 18 hours...maybe 3 hours of sleep
despite all of the shit I went though it was well worth the completion of my story.

Got stood up one day so attempted to drive to the top of a mountain. Made it to the parking lot of some frat house near Golden, CO...hopped a highway...and climbed a mountain...

And met up with my lady to cover the USA Boxing National Championship while living out of my car and pitching pseudo-tents...
